Okay, now a lot of people are fans of Tish Stratus and that is perfectly fine, if they want to be fans of Trish then I respect that, however I am not and probably never will be a fan of Trish.

I think that people give her WAY too much credit, they say that she inovated women’s wrestling which I disagree with.

A long time before Trish even considered a career in wrestling there was a woman called Mae Young.
There wern’t many female wrestlers around in the territory that Mae wrestled in but she didn’t let that bother her, she went out whenever she had a match and wrestled even though people believed that women had no place in the wrestling ring.

During the second world war, Mae encouraged women who wanted to pursue a career in wrestling to follow their dreams and take advantage of the fact that most men were away.
This allowed women’s wrestling to get a lot more attention and a wider audience.

So I would say that women like Mae Young, Gladys Gillem, The Fabulous Moolah and Mildred Burke inovated womens wrestling, they continued performing the sport they loved even though people told them they shouldn’t be doing it, they carried on even though people doubted them, at the time Trish entered wrestling, women’s wrestling was a more common thing and wasn’t really frowned upon so it was easier for her to enter wrestling and gain respect.

Another reason that makes me think of Trish as overrated is that whenever a current diva uses a move with a handstand in or uses a variation of a bulldog they are automatically classed as a Trish Stratus rip off.

Trish didn’t invent most of the moves she does, for example, the Lous Thesz press, if Trish invented it, they would have named it The Trish Stratus Press, Trish didn’t invent it so I don’t see why other divas get bashed for using it, same with bulldogs, moves with handstands, roundhouse kicks….the list goes on.

However, nobody bashes Melina for using The Muta Lock(Which was mainly used by The Great Muta), nobody bashes Torrie Wilson or Tori Crawford for using the Springboard  back elbow smash(Which was mainly used by Tajiri), nobody bashes Beth for using the Fisherwomans suplex (Which was mainly used by Jazz), nobody bashes Trinity for using the moonsault(which was mainly used by Lita) so why should divas be bashed for using “Trish’s moves”?

 Okay…I’m done.

 It seems the Ashley one wasn’t as intersting as others and myself assumed it would be, overplayed at the forum most likely the reason. Anyways, feel free to start the new one whenever you wish.

i hate ashley because simply she’s a lying bitch. from day one she’s done nothing but lied and her fans refuse to believe it even though she admitted to lying to her fans. day one of the DS she was wearing normal clothes. a tight brown top and jeans - NOTHING punk. so she obviously decided to be something she isn’t to get over with the crowd. she also claimed she was a huge wrestling fan all her life which is obviously bullshit. what wrestling fan calls matt hardy , ‘mike hardy’. and then there’s also the whole ‘i’m training soooo hard for you guys’ . doubt it. many of the diva’s attended OVW but never have i once heard of ashley going to OVW. yeah she probably got the basics down and that’s it. but if she really wanted to be better wouldn’t she have to OVW like maria etc. i’m also sick of the ‘give her time , some people take longer than others’. Three years? i don’t think so. she’s obviously more concerned about becoming famous than her ‘wrestling’ career - playboy , music video , tv shows etc.

Well, in my opinion, people are a bit harsh on Ashley.
She isn’t the greatest of wrestlers and her punk act is kind of old but at least the girl goes out there and tries, you cant blame her for that.
Everyone says that she is constantly injured….well it isn’t ballet you know, what Ashley(and every other diva) does means taking a risk, and lets not forget that she takes that risk to entertain the fans.

To sum it up, Ashley does try and she has improved since her debut, she goes out there night after night to entertain fans, she doesn’t have to do that…she does it by choice so I think people should go a little easier on her.

Let’s see Kelly Kelly or Layla get injured like — or even as many times — as Ashley has, and let’s see how long they stick around afterwards.

Okay first of all, I give her kudos for trying, but that alone won’t help you through the business. Her horrible wannabe, punk, like style won’t help her either. Ashley Massaro has been in the WWE for 3 years? Yet, she is still worse in the ring than other divas like Kelly Kelly, Layla El, etc, who have been their shorter than Ashley has. She also must injure herself majority of her career! WWE should really put her down in Florida Championship Wrestling to work on her wrestling, acting, etc. instead of screwing herself up on main TV. Also the fact that she is on Raw, where the WWE Women’s Championship is being held at, and received pushes for it, while other talented divas like Victoria, or Nattie Neidhart could be getting that push. I’ll just end this by saying wrestling isn’t exactly for her, she has had 3 years, but still doesn’t achieve in the ring.

Hmmmm.I am not a fan of Ashley, I never really was. I don’t think Ashley is that good of a wrestler, after almost 3 years in the bussiness. I will say even Kelly is doing better at Wrestling. What gets me is Ashley is being pushed as a wrestler and even has been pushed for the title, over others who are better wrestlers. To be honest, I do not think Ashley is or was ready for The Women’s Title, I feel there are other divas who are better wrestlers, some of whom should be on Raw(where the Women’s Title is), that they could be pushing for the title and using. I have to give it to her for trying and not giving up.

 Yes she is very pretty, yes I am aware WWE likes divas who are pretty, but it should take more then just simply being good looking.

But… She is very good at being a valet. She, Paul London and Brian Kendrick did make a good trio. I think Ashley is better suited being a valet rather then a wrestler, until she is trained and improves greatly. Yes she has improved some, but I don’t think its enough for her to be one of or the “top woman” in the WWE. If WWE wants her to wrestle then they should be sending her to FCW to train her and push her when she is ready.

 I have NOTHING against her, she seems like a cool person. I am against the way she is being pushed or has been pushed. It is great that she is trying. Good Luck to her.

I’m going to say this right out front, I know Ashley cannot wrestle and I don’t give a shit. She’s beautiful, and if you can’t see that, you’re blind. I may be a mark, but I try to be fair when seeing other peoples’ perspectives on her. A few people make completely valid comments about her, but many I see just pointlessly bash her with no ounce of intillectuality. “OMGZ ASHLEYZ A SLUT I H8 HURR,” it really gets old people. I understand not everyone will like her, and I’m not trying to make you like her, but atleast have a real reason for disliking her. Don’t hate her because it’s cool, form your own goddamn opinion.

Now, back to talking about why I like her. When the 2005 Diva Search started, I immediately picked her as my favorite. I knew from the very first moment I saw her that she would win, and so I stuck by her. Many of you even voted for her because she said that she really wanted to be a serious wrestler. You blame her for lying, but you should really blame yourselves for being so easily duped. Every single one of the model Divas and/or Diva-wannabes say that, so why buy it from her? Anyway, 3 years passed, and she hasn’t shown much improvement. I understand you saying she’s not cut out for wrestling, but you should atleast give her a little bit of credit for sticking with it. She’s been injured a few times now, and she hasn’t quit. That should show you how much she really, really wants to be in the WWE, and that she’s really TRYING.

Also, it really bugs me how people always seem to find a way to bring bashing Ashley into something completely different. Seriously, sometimes it seems like this:

It’s really retarded how some of you can bring Ashley into anything, and it really shows your immaturity. How does it show your immaturity? Well for starters, you’re doing so badly in an altercation of some sort that you have to resort to low-blowing someone by bashing a Diva, no matter what the original conversation is about. It’s dumb, if you think about it — and I mean really think about it.

So all I’m really saying is that if you’re going to bash her, use your brains in doing so. Hate her for real reasons, not something stupid that has nothing to do with anything important.

Now, i DO hate that. Goshh i hate it hahah. Although, she got snakebites, good on her, if she is trying too hard she did well going through with that lol. I don’t think its fair to call her a lita wannabe, lita isnt the only person who was ever ‘punkish’ in wrestling, but sometimes ashley over dresses it with the wristbands and fishnets. When you think about it, Ashley and litas style are quite different, lita always wore baggies and fishnets with sneakers, where as ashley insists on short skirts, long boots and fishnets. Shes more the ’slutty’ punk lol, i think her style sucks. Thats all that iffs me.
